Mandatory NJ One Call Flags

Without exception before Trenching or any digging type of work can commence Miniskid4hire.com customers are REQUIRED to contact NJ One Call (811) to have the following town owned utility lines Pre-flagged for damage avoidance.

Main Gas Line (Yellow) Main Water Line (Blue) Underground Electric (Red) and Telecommunications (Orange) must be marked. We advise customers to pre-call NJ One Call leaving a 2 week lead time. This free service and is 100% REQUIRED. When calling or online ordering with NJ One Call we suggest not mentioning the contractor name or even the desired use of a contractor. This contractor omission is needed if you (the homeowner) want to control the ordering process and the setting of dates. Indicate that you the homeowner are doing the digging work. If you don't do omit they will question you and avoid accepting an order from a homeowner. They ask for the contractor to order the markout only if you tell them one is involved. Please keep all flags in place once they are planted and maintain all their confirmation emails. No machine trench or digging work is possible within 2 feet in either direction of any flagged utilities. Trenching Service

Miniskid4hire offer professional trenching service to NJ homeowners and our partner contractors. Typically were asked to trench properties for new electrical conduit installation (18" is code) and 12" for NDS french drainage lines. The trench bar on our trencher is 3 ft in length. We do not trench any lower than 3 ft. On our chain we run a mix of carbide shark teeth & cups to deal with NJ rock conditions. When we encounter thick roots or rocks blocking the trench path we can remove them by using our E40 Backhoe attachment. We also may pull out our Stump Planner to drill out thicker tree roots. Backyard Backup Services, LLC. are not to be held responsible for any underground lines or any tree / shrub root damage if you asked us to cut across your yard. Accessory or homeowner installed electric lines or grill gas lines must all be marked and disclosed (these are not typically flagged by 811) Flag your own invisible dog lines, pool returns, drainage and sewer pipes. Know what is under your yard because we don't. Trenchers eat everything that it crosses.

Ettera E40 Backhoe Attachment

Using our powerful backhoe attachment we effectively dig out stubborn rocks or hydraulically rip roots. We have two backhoe buckets A 6" (trencher bucket) and a 12" (excavator bucket) When the trencher can't cut the backhoe digs.

Trench backfilling can be done that day if it's planned.

If you plan your trenching day correctly with us we can cut your trench and you can lay your cable or pipe and we can then turn off our hourly rates for 1 to 2 hrs. Then we may be able to backfill your trench so you don't have to. Then we don't have to come back a second day.
