What is Turf Work?

One of our specialties at Miniskid4hire.com that we complete better than our competition is Turf or "Grass Area" related projects. This includes weed overtaken or poor soil lawn removal and soil pre-seed/pre-sod soil preparation. We will use a combination of multiple attachments including our 4 Prong Ripper Attachment, our Level Bar Attachment, Light Material Bucket, Rotodarian Soil Cultivator (i.e tilling) and our Chain Harrow Drag for final finishing.

Next steps may include seeding and cultipacking using our Stinger Quad Aer 30.

We use our Zahn Mini Skid for improving tight spaced lawn areas under 1/4 Acre 10,000 sq. ft.

Miniskid4hire.com Turf Work is priced hourly. (2 hrs to 6 hrs)on areas up to 1/4 Acre or 10,000 sq. ft. When jobs exceed 1/4 Acre we switch our customers to Loader4hire.com and we substitite the Zahn for our 30T Cast Loader. Larger properties are then priced per sq. ft not hourly. Every yard has different characteristics and therefore needs different machines and process. For example some lawns are very rocky, compacted or can have thick roots that need more time ripping. Some yards can be easier with more dirt and weed than rooted grass. The application of our Turf attachments and the number of hours that we will work depends on the ground conditions and the customers desired end results.

The X-treme Duty Ripper is perfect for site preparation, land clearing, and agricultural projects. It is great for rock removal, breaking up compacted soil, and preparing the ground for landscaping, this attachment delivers outstanding performance and efficiency.

Level Bar Attachment

A Land Leveler or Land Grader is a versatile attachment that smoothes and collects torn turf debris. The 48" version we use can get into every hard to reach area.

Rotodarian Soil Cultivator

This incredibly versatile attachment can be used to cultivate and level soil as well as blend landscape materials, compost and fertilizer. This attachment will also bury debris such as stones, soil clods and grass. It transforms rough terrain into a perfect planting bed.

Chain Harrow Drag

Drag Harrow levels and break up clods of soil. Gnarly hooks and tines tear through any weeds and roots, break up compacted surfaces, and get your soil prepped for seeding.
